The full herbal head spa is the longest session in herbal hair wash (gội đầu dưỡng sinh): 90 minutes in the room for 720,000 VND, with 8% VAT included and no tip expected. The minutes include a five-minute talk at the start.

What is in it

Four parts. First a dry scalp massage, before your hair is wet. Then three rinses in the herbal water Chi brews each morning from lemongrass (sả), bồ kết (a soap pod used for hair in Vietnam) and pomelo leaf (lá bưởi). Then a hair mask while you lie still under a warm towel. Finally a rinse and a blow dry, so you can go on with your day without wet hair.

Not in it: colour, cuts, perms or machines. We make no promises about your hair or scalp. This is relaxation care, not a hair or scalp treatment; if something about your scalp lasts, please see a doctor.

Who does it

Chi does every head spa. She grew up beside her aunt’s hair-wash stall in Cần Thơ and makes the herbal water herself each morning. She works Monday, Tuesday and Thursday to Sunday (off on Wednesdays).

Questions about this session

How is it different from the 60-minute hair wash?

The head spa adds a 20-minute dry scalp massage before the wash, three rinses instead of two, a hair mask and a blow dry. The 60-minute wash has 15 minutes on the shoulders and a towel dry. Head spa 720,000 VND; 60-minute wash 480,000 VND.

Can I go straight back to work?

Yes. Your hair is blow-dried before you leave, unlike the 45 and 60-minute washes, which are towel dried.

Can I book it while pregnant?

Yes. Hair washes can be booked during pregnancy; tick the pregnancy box when booking so the front desk can call you first.
