Five people, four rooms, one four-second breath

Lụa Spa opened in 2023 in Phú Mỹ Hưng. Why the name is a breath, how a visit goes, what we do and what we do not do.

Lụa Spa opened in April 2023 in Phú Mỹ Hưng, in what used to be District 7. Lụa means silk: light on the skin, nothing rushed. We are five people with four rooms and sixteen sessions on the menu; every session runs at the pace of one slow, four-second breath.

Five people

  • Hân opened Lụa Spa after twelve years in skin care in Ho Chi Minh City, two of them in a hotel spa. She does the four facials and is off on Mondays.
  • Hằng leads body massage. Fourteen years in the trade; she does most of the essential oil and hot stone sessions.
  • Tài has done body massage here since 2024 and sees male and female clients who choose him.
  • Chi does every herbal hair wash (gội đầu dưỡng sinh) and face massage, and brews the herbal rinses each morning.
  • Võ Thanh Trúc runs the front desk: she answers the phone, keeps the calendar, sells the cards and calls to confirm your booking. She gives no treatments, but you meet her before and after every visit.

Working days for each therapist are on the therapists page.

Four rooms

Room What it is for
Facial room Hân’s four facials. Warm towels and masks, no machines.
Body room Relaxing, essential oil, hot stone and neck and shoulder massage with Hằng or Tài.
Hair wash room A wash bed with a basin and Chi’s pot of herbs: hair wash, head spa, face massage, foot soak.
Double room Two beds side by side for the For Two package (Gói Hai Người). When no couple is booked, it is used for body massage.

Hân’s notebook

Since the first client in 2023, Hân has kept a notebook. One page per client, recording what you like: firm or light pressure, which scents are fine, warm or cool towels, places not to touch. It does not record skin “problems”. On your next visit the therapist reads it first, so you need not explain again. If you want to see your page or have it removed, ask Trúc.

What four seconds means in a visit

Four seconds is one slow breath: two seconds in, two seconds out.

  1. Arrive. On a first visit, come 10 minutes early. Trúc meets you at the desk and walks you to the room.
  2. Settle. The first 5 minutes are a talk with your therapist about pressure, scent and anything you want left alone. Then she or he invites you to breathe at the four-second pace for about a minute, roughly twelve rounds. Skip it if you prefer.
  3. The session. The therapist’s hands keep the same pace: one long stroke down the back takes one breath, and nothing is hurried. The minutes on our pages are time in the room, including that 5-minute talk.
  4. Tea. Afterwards, a cup of warm tea. Nobody hurries you and nobody tries to sell you a package.

This website moves on the same four-second rhythm. The one-minute version is in the journal post on four-second breathing. It is a way of sitting still for a minute; we make no promise about what it does for the body.

What we do not do

Lụa Spa offers non-invasive skin care and relaxation. We do not inject, use lasers or needling, prescribe, diagnose, or replace a doctor.

If you are pregnant, have an open wound, or have a skin condition a doctor is looking after, tick the box when you book and we will call before confirming. Changes, cancelling and deposits: booking and cancellation. Logo, colours and motion: brand page.
