A row of warm stones sits on a towel either side of the spine while the therapist works on your shoulders. 3. **Back massage with the stones**20 minThe stones come off and the back and shoulders are massaged with base oil, sometimes with a warm stone in the therapist's hand instead of the palm. 4. **Legs**30 minBacks of the legs, then you turn over for the fronts of the legs and the feet, with hands and stones in turn. 5. **Arms, neck, stones in your palms**20 minTwo warm stones rest in your palms while the therapist works on the arms, neck and shoulders. 6. **Stones away, up slowly**5 minAll stones are taken away; you lie a moment longer, then sit up slowly. The 90 minutes include a five-minute talk at the start. ## What is in it Basalt stones (volcanic rock that holds heat for a long time) are warmed before your appointment. They are used three ways: resting along your back on a towel, held in the therapist’s hand as a massage tool, and placed in your palms. “Warm, not hot” is the line we keep. You test the warmth on your forearm first and you can ask to stop at any time. The massage itself uses unscented base oil and goes back, legs, arms, neck, like the [relaxing body massage](/en/treatments/body-massage/relaxing-body-massage). We make no claims about what heat does for the body; it is the feeling of warmth during a long massage, nothing more. ## Who does it [Hằng](/en/therapists/le-thi-bich-hang) does most of the hot stone sessions, Monday to Saturday. Tài does them too, Wednesday to Sunday, and is the one clients who like firmer pressure tend to ask for. Warm, not hot. The basalt stones are warmed, never scalding, and there is a towel between stone and skin whenever they rest on your back. You test the warmth on your forearm before anything starts. ### How is it different from the 90-minute relaxing massage? Same 90 minutes and the same order: back, legs, arms, neck. Hot stone adds the warm basalt stones on your back, in your palms and in the therapist's hands. It costs 990,000 VND; the relaxing massage is 890,000 VND. ### If I arrive late, is the session shorter? Up to 15 minutes late, the session still ends at the booked time unless no one is after you.
